Anna Bertrand, MSE, tLMHC
Executive Director
Anna Bertrand is a temporarily licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa. She graduated from Wayne State College in 2022 with her Master of Science in Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2011, she graduated from Wayne with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement. She began her career at Sky Ranch as an intern in May of 2010 and was hired as a full-time Reunification Worker a few months later. She was first promoted to a Behavioral Health Specialist in 2011, and then to the Associate Director position in 2019.
“I see true growth potential for the agency as a whole and look forward to actively engaging and investing in the clients we serve, the Siouxland community, and our providers who do meaningful and profound work.” Anna's background is in behavioral health though her goals for the agency include expanding current services to better meet client needs.

Mitch Kulawik, CDAC
Substance Use and Development Director
Mitch Kulawik has worked as a Substance Use Counselor for over 10 years. He graduated from Creighton University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, but after finding recovery himself in 2006, he decided to become involved in a field that helps other addicts find recovery. In 2014, after spending a few years working as a recovery coach, behavioral health intervention specialist, peer support specialist, and substance use counselor, he started KCS outpatient treatment program to better help individuals find new ways to overcome their struggles with Substance Use and Problematic Gambling Disorders utilizing a mix of 12 Step and evidence-based treatment programs and improving whole health awareness. “It is my goal to help these individuals find the courage for everyday living.”

Rachael Peck
Behavioral Health Specialist and Reentry Specialist
Rachael Peck was hired at Sky Ranch Behavioral Services in September 2019. Rachael graduated from Wayne State College in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Counseling. She completed an internship with The State of Nebraska Probation.
“I enjoy working for Sky Ranch because I get to see positive changes by helping others lean towards a positive direction.“ She excels with younger children and early adolescents. She has exceptional experience in motivating and guiding young females to aim for a healthier lifestyle as well as working with individuals who struggle with mental health disorders such as ADHD, ODD, anxiety, major depressive disorder, and adjustment disorders. Rachael’s expertise is in teaching life skills to youth and adolescents. They are able to achieve goals that obtain to their challenges and weaknesses which leads to a more equipped individual. Rachael’s passion is to educate children and early adolescents that the choices you make not only affect our lives and our futures, but your choices can also have an impact on others' lives as well. Rachael has transitioned into a new role at Sky Ranch but does still have a few clients in this capacity. More information coming soon!

Kelly, who found himself living a lifestyle of recovery, has been active in helping others find a similar path. As someone who has had a passion for improving health all around, he has learned to combine new ways of self-improvement. Kelly went to college for personal training and has worked in the health field for the last five years. He eventually found himself getting more active in helping others with addiction issues. He has spent the last couple of years in various volunteer commitments. He has become a mentor and model for the youth in our community in particular. Kelly has spent the last year training as a recovery coach and as a substance use counselor. Kelly is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to create change in the generations to come.

Maraya Moran
Behavioral Health Specialist
Maraya received her Associate’s Degree at Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2016. She then went on to achieve her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdepartmental Applied Human Service from the University of Iowa in 2019. She shares, “I have always been interested in helping others improve their life choices and way of life.” Maraya is bilingual and looks forward to offering families in our community behavioral health services in both Spanish and English to promote comprehensive understanding and long-lasting progressive change.
Curtis was hired at Sky Ranch in 2023. He is working towards obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology. He has worked in various positions in the criminal justice and human services field, along with volunteer work, giving him six years of experience. Curtis explains, “I really enjoy and look forward to helping children and families in the community that are going through some unfortunate circumstances.” Curtis is always looking for ways to become a better version of himself and uses his life experiences and skills to help children and families achieve their goals and obtain skills that will help them in the future.
